Dinosaurs Antarctica : Issue 1 : in the Beginning

(Sorry, there is something I have forgotten to tell you. Jason Cross's left arm and the left half of his upper body are a machine) now, on to the story :)

The helicopter's rotor blades thumped loudly overhead. Jason Cross looked out the window only to see endless ice in all directions. Even he, who had seen some very strange things, found it hard to believe that there could be a hidden jungle, much less dinosaurs, out there in the ice and snow. and yet, he knew they were there. "There it is" shouted the pilot. Jason was pulled out of his daydreams by this sound. "come on" said Naranjala soothingly. Cross looked out the cockpit window and  saw a huge mountain range, covered in low clouds. The group gave a collective gasp of amazement. But Cross knew that this wasn't the most impressive thing they'd see here. They burst through the clouds and saw, sure enough, an awe inspiring sight : green, lush plains filled to the brim with every dinosaur imaginable. Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, and many others filled the plains. And then it started. A tingling feeling, going up Cross's spine. Something wasn't right. They swooped down through the trees. SCREEECH!!!!! The animal, a raptor, landed on the helicopter's floor. Then it jumped at Cross.

Dino Humans

I've been very interested in this question since i found this picture. i thought  about it and decided that it was probably what would have happened. after all, when the dinosaurs died out the dromaeosaurs (raptors) where the most intelligent species around. they even had they the ability to manipulate objects with their hands, much like a human. their brains were as big as an ostrich's and still evolving. so, all in all, is it really that impossible?

Dinosaurs Antarctica

 This is the introduction
“issue” of an weekly  series. Each issue will include a cover pic at the bottom. To see the pic more clearly, click on the post. This issue will introduce the setting and characters, rather than tell a story. The story is that somewhere in Antarctica, time stopped 65 million years ago. Sheltered from the meteor that killed the dinosaurs, this “island” is home to savage, prehistoric beasts and wild plants. And now the US military has sent it’s best men to annihilate the dinosaurs before they escape and cause massive damage to the planet. but something (or someONE) down there isn’t a dinosaur….
welcome to the Wildland!

Characters: Jason Cross, a highly trained former CIA agent with a mysterious past, Adrian Cardigan, a tech expert and a bit of a wimp, Naranjala Serrin, an attractive female agent witha knack for animals, and lastly, Todd Fosulfut (fossilfoot), a renowned paleontologist from UC Berkeley.
